Bellport.com Defends Indivisible Groups Against "Alternative Facts"

Free Knowledge, an "Indivisible" group that Patchogue Is Indivisible (Patchogue Indivisible Against Hate at the time of the event) collaborated with, protested an event on January 28, 2017. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY1) was receiving a "Man of the Year" award from the Rotary of Shirley and the Mastics. The groups protested the fact that after weeks of trying to get a meeting with the Congressman it became clear that he wasn't willing to meet with any non-republican constituents. The protest drew over 150 members and was successful in delivering the message the groups set out to deliver.

What a great editorial Larry Sribnick, editor of Bellport.com wrote defending our January 28, 2017 protest. He defended us by telling the truth after Nicole Paciello, Executive Assistant to Congressman Lee Zeldin, out right lied to the press saying that we were "jumping in front of cars, and blocking them. As Larry points out, the Suffolk County Police had sufficient officers to be able to see the protesters who were lined up on both sides of the street and NOT interfering with traffic. Thanks Larry, for not letting the "Alternative Facts" go unchallenged. See Larry's editorial in Bellport.com "Alternative Facts"
